COST countries

The COST countries are Albania, Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, The Netherlands, the Republic of North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom and one cooperating state: Israel. Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC)

According to COST Association, the Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) are Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine. The countries in bold are already taking part in ReMO.

Partner Member

ReMO has several Working Group Members from South Africa, a Partner Member of the COST Asociation.

Near Neighbour countries (NNC)

Near Neighbour countries (NNC) include Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Kosovo*, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine**, Russia, Syria, and Tunisia. The countries in bold are already taking part in ReMO.

COST International Partner Countries (IPC)

International Partner Countries are those non-COST countries that are not Near-Neighbour Countries. COST Actions are open to global cooperation and welcome researchers from International Partner Countries to participate on the basis of ascertained mutual benefit, subject to approval.
