The Initiative for Open Abstracts (I4OA) has been launched. It appeals to scientific publishers to make the abstracts of the works they publish freely available. The TIB is supporting this call.
Within the ROSI project (Reference Implementation for Open Scientometric Indicators) we conducted usability tests to test our developed software application. In this blog post, we would like to give an insight into our approach and our experiences to encourage other projects to use a similar approach.
To simplify the analysis of research information, we have developed a prototype based on the open source search engine Elasticsearch and the open source analysis and visualization tool Kibana.
