The Earth System Sciences collection (ESS) is part of the TIB Terminology Service. Therefore we are excited to announce the system upgrade of the TIB TS from OLS3 to the advanced OLS4 Backend System. OLS4 features significant improvements, enhanced performance, and a more intuitive user experience. Nevertheless, you may experience missing ontologies for a short time during the transition phase.
As part of this upgrade, the API endpoint URL has been updated to a more descriptive and user-friendly address: https://api.terminology.tib.eu. A comprehensive documentation for API v2.0 is available at https://api.terminology.tib.eu/swagger-ui/index.html.
To ensure a smooth migration for all users, both the old API and the new API (v2.0) will be maintained for a transition period until 30.05.2025. During this time, you can continue using the old API, though we encourage you to switch to API v2.0 at your earliest convenience to take full advantage of the new features and improvements.
