TIB Terminology Service

Within the development of the LDM, we recognize that terminologies offer the building blocks for (meta-)data schemata and data annotation by defining important concepts of a domain. 

The TIB Terminology Service provides a single point of access to terminologies from a range of domains such as architecture, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics. The use of terminologies can empower scientists to realise a machine-processable expression of the information contained in their research data and other academic outputs.

As of now, more than 100 ontologies, 1.1 million terms and over 16,000 properties are included in the TIB Terminology Service. All entries are accessible using a new, extended REST API: https://service.tib.eu/ts4tib/swagger-ui.html.
