Three working groups (WGs) have been launched in the LiLA project. The aim of the working groups is to strengthen the exchange of experience between institutions and to advance the implementation of project-related issues within the consortium. The topics were proposed by the participating LiLA institutions and are closely aligned with practical needs.
The working group Assessing Archival Value already held an exploratory meeting last year and has since conducted its second regular meeting. It focuses on the evaluation and selection of digital materials that should be preserved, taking into account legal and organizational frameworks.
The working group Long-Term Archiving for Research Data addresses key questions concerning the selection and long-term preservation of research data.
The third working group officially entered its operational phase with a kick-off meeting on February 5, 2026. Its focus lies on practical aspects of data transfer, system integration, and the creation and structuring of data packages to be submitted to a long-term archiving system.
Further information on the working groups can be found in the overview section.
